	Nicaragua Project Committee (Board) Date to be determined - next Board Meeting Please contact Lorrie Douglas. We have two volunteers from the Nicaragua Project going down to Catarina in February to enjoy Nicaragua and help out our brothers and sisters in Catarina. Cheryl Madeja, a social work researcher from Wayne State, and one of our Board members, left on the 9th and will be staying about a month. Pat Thornberg, a new volunteer and nurse educator from Wayne State, will be leaving on the 11th. Pat will be joining Kaley, our other volunteer English teacher from First United Methodist, Ypsilanti, for a few weeks and will be teaching nutrition and health, along with English. We have had an additional request for materials for the children's classes (English, Bible, & health), and Pat and Cheryl have agreed to bring some things down with them. Bayardo says they could use crayons, notebooks, pencils, colored paper, or any other kinds of materials that might be useful. Kaley has also started adult classes in the evenings, so materials would be appreciated for those. Also paper copies of basis English exercises would likely be welcome.
